Once again, FC Barcelona was one of the big stars of the Ballon d’Or gala. The France Football awards ceremony crowned Aitana Bonmatí as the best player in the world, but also recognised Ewa Pajor as the best striker, Vicky López as the best young player, and Lamine Yamal as the best U21 player.

Thus, with Aitana Bonmatí’s third consecutive Ballon d’Or, Barça now has 17 in total, across both the men’s and women’s games. This keeps the club at the top as the one with the most Ballon d’Or winners.

The women’s side lead their ranking with five, thanks to Alexia Putella’s two (2021 and 2022) and Aitana’s three (2023, 2024 and 2025). As for the men’s, Barça also top the list with 12 Ballon d’Ors, tied with Real Madrid (also 12).

The names on this list are Luis Suárez (1960), Johan Cruyff (1973, 1974), Hristo Stoichkov (1994), Rivaldo (1999), Ronaldinho (2005) and Leo Messi (2009, 2010, 2011).

Dominant in the Kopa Trophy

Once again, the golden glow of the Kopa Trophy belongs to FC Barcelona. With the awards won by Vicky López, in the first-ever women’s edition, and Lamine Yamal, who retained the prize, the tally now stands at five in seven editions. No other club in the world can match Barça’s young talent. Gavi (2022) and Pedri (2021) complete the list of winners that make Barça the outright leader in this award, which recognises the world’s best player under the age of 21.

No other shirt comes close: only PSG, Juventus and Real Madrid have collected a single award each since the men’s trophy was introduced in 2018.
