First home league win of the season for the blaugranes as Carlos Ortega's team took a 35-25 win over Recoletas Atlético Valladolid at the Palau Blaugana. Adrian Sola led the way with eight goals as Barça erased the memory of Thursday's Champions League defeat against Magdeburg. 

Tight start 

After a cagey initial opening, the blaugranes began to take control. A 4-0 lead for Carlos Ortega's team was soon stretched to 13-7 when Blaz Janc fired home on 16 minutes. 

Barça continued to dominate and with Adrian Sola and Dani Fernández running the show, the home side led 22-15 at half time. 

No surprises 

In the second half the blaugranes continued to have the better of the game. A run of four unanswered goals saw the lead rise to 11. Adrian Sola ended the game with eight goals as Barça closed out a comfortable win- Keeper Hallgrimsson also excelled, making 10 saves in the whole game. 

Barça's next test comes in Europe on Thursday at 6.45pm CEST when they on HC Zagreb in Croatia in the EHF Champions League.
