Lewandowski celebrates 150th appearance with brace
Robert Lewandowski has made it to 150 official appearances for FC Barcelona. Since arriving at the club in the summer of 2022, the Polish striker's love affair with goals has been constant and his record firmly establishes him as one of Barça’s great attacking references of recent years:
Liga: 106 games and 71 goals
Champions League: 27 games and 19 goals
Europa League: 2 games and 1 goal
Copa del Rey: 9 games and 7 goals
Spanish Super Cup: 6 games and 5 goals.
Even at 37, his killer instinct remains intact. Just last season, he netted 42 goals in 52 matches under Hansi Flick – the kind of figures few people are able to match. He had yet to get off the mark before tonight's game with Valencia, but in just 22 minutes after coming on as a substitute he scored not once but twice to round off a remarkable 6-0 win.
With 150 games already under his belt and an exciting campaign ahead, Lewandowski is eager to keep adding to his success story with Barça.
Kounde hits 100 in the league
It’s also a day to celebrate for Jules Kounde, who marked his 100th La Liga appearance for Barça in the clash with Valencia. The French defender, who also joined in the summer of 2022, has cemented himself as a key part of the blaugrana back line thanks to his versatility, solidity and leadership. Across those 100 league outings, he has racked up 90 starts, 8,041 minutes, 4 goals and 8 assists.
