The Copa Catalunya is blaugrana! Barça won 2-5 against Industrias Santa Coloma in the final at the Pavelló Municipal de Martorell. Antonio, Touré (2) and Adolfo scored to add to an own goal to help claim a 12th Copa Catalunya and first since the 2022/23 season.

Industrias go ahead, but Barça respond

A derby is synonymous with passion and even more so in a final. Both teams started strongly and the first goal came quickly through a left foot shot by ‘Puchy’ from Industrias (1-0, min 3). The blaugranes responded quickly through Antonio who equalised from distance (1-1, min 6).

Touré then put the blaugranes ahead midway through the half with a fine individual effort (1-2, min 10). Comeback completed, the blaugranes sat in and controlled their opponents' attacks while having chances of their own through Matheus and Sergio González, plus Dídac hitting the bar from his own half. Half-time score 1-2.

Home side press but trophy claimed

The home side stepped it up after the break and the blaugranes had to defend well. However, this formed a solid platform for an Adolfo long shot to extend the lead (1-3, min 28).The fourth and fifth goals then came within two minutes, first Tolrà scored an own goal (1-4, min 29), before Touré regained possession and scored himself (1-5, min 30).

Job done in the blink of an eye, but the Industria pushed, and despite finding Dídac in excellent form, Povill managed to make it 2-5 in the final stages, but it was purely academic as the blaugranes became Copa Catalunya champions! First trophy under Javi Rodríguez in the bag, and next up the Liga, with a trip to Movistar Inter for the gameweek one match of the 2025/26 season (6 September, 6:00pm CEST kickoff).
