Part of Barça’s 2025/26 basketball squad began preseason this Friday. The eight players called up early in the morning to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper were: Tomas Satoransky, Juan Núñez, Kevin Punter, Nico Laprovittola, Jan Vesely, Youss Fall, and the newcomers Myles Cale and Miles Norris. Absent were the internationals taking part in EuroBasket (the group stage has just started) and the AmeriCup (Juani Marcos will play in the semifinals), as well as Will Clyburn, who recently completed his medical check and will join training on 1 September.

First day for Miles Norris

Norris experienced his first day at the club, having landed in Barcelona on Thursday afternoon. On Friday he was able to meet some of his new teammates and coaching staff, and take a look around the facilities. “I feel great and very comfortable here" he said. "The energy is good and everyone came to welcome me.”

The American admitted he has watched videos of the Palau Blaugrana on YouTube. “It looks crazy and fun" he told the club media. "I can’t wait to play in front of the fans. It’s going to be a tough season and, obviously, the fans want to win titles. I hope it will be a great season, that we win a lot of games, and that I can compete at the highest level — that’s why I came here.”

He describes himself as “a good team player who does whatever the team needs ... I like to do a bit of everything: dunks, threes, and assists.”

Three friendlies and Catalan League

The players will begin training sessions on Monday 1 September, in a week that will continue in Encamp from the evening of 2 September and finish on Saturday 6 with a charity friendly in the Andorran town against Paris.

The other two preseason friendlies for 2025/26 will be against Bàsquet Girona (12 September in Platja d’Aro) and Hiopos Lleida (26 September in Lleida). There will also be the Catalan League in Tarragona, where Barça will play against Morabanc Andorra (17 September) and Joventut Badalona (19 September). The possible final would take place on Sunday 21 September.
