Ready for La Liga
Final tune-up before the big kick-off. Hansi Flick’s men have wrapped up their last training session of a week’s preparation for Mallorca v FC Barcelona, the opening clash in the defence of their La Liga crown this Saturday 16 August at 7.30pm CEST.
Under another sweltering day at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, the available squad showed plenty of energy to ensure they arrive at Son Moix in peak condition. Barça Atlètic youngsters Jofre Torrents, Dro, Guille Fernández and Toni Fernández joined the session, which was missing Robert Lewandowski and was open to the media for the first 15 minutes.
Lewy steps up recovery
The Polish striker took to the pitch ahead of his teammates for a series of solo sprints and runs to speed up his return, before heading indoors for gym work to continue his recovery process.
With this final session done, Flick’s side are now fully focused on Saturday’s season opener — a day with a packed agenda, starting with the announcement of the first matchday squad before the trip to the Balearic capital.
