It’s hard not to get excited about Marcus Rashford. A world-class forward, he joined Barça this summer with big ambitions. Although he’s only been at the club a few days, he already says he feels comfortable and well integrated: “It’s been a good preseason and we’re ready for the start of the season" he says. "I’ve settled in quite well and I’m adapting to the team and the coach.”

The English striker admitted that the level he sees in training every day is extremely high. “There are a lot of great players here — I already knew that. The quality and intensity are very high, and that’s what we need to maintain throughout the season.”

Versatile forward

One of Rashford’s greatest strengths is his versatility. “I think I can play in different positions and score from different areas of the attack,” he said during Sunday’s media appearance, on the team’s last day in Seoul.

He explained that he’ll try to score “as many goals as possible,” although he acknowledged that “it will be tough because it’s a new country and a different league.” Still, he’s approaching it with the right mindset: “I accept the challenge,” he confidently declared.
