86% approval among members of the Board of Directors
This Tuesday, the results of the 2024/25 Blaugrana Observatory were presented to the Board of Directors. This is the survey that the club conducts to assess the overall situation of the organisation based on the views of its members. This edition covered topics ranging from the performance of the board to the state of the different sports sections and the management of the Espai Barça project, among others. The study was carried out by the Institut Feedback d’Investigació Aplicada, and surveyed 3,000 male and female members, with or without season ticket, aged over 18 and residing in Spain. between 10 and 20 June 2025.
86% of surveyed members approve of the board’s management, with around 64% rating it between "very good" and "excellent". Major decisions have been positively received, especially the appointment of Hansi Flick as first team coach, which scored 9.5 out of 10. The partnerships with Spotify and Nike scored 8.4 and 8.2 respectively, while the signings of Dani Olmo and Pau Víctor were rated at 7.4. The progress of the Espai Barça construction project was rated 6.6.
Satisfaction with the Club’s sporting performance was rated 8.3 out of 10, with the strong performance of both the men’s and women’s first teams rated close to excellent (9 and 8.9 respectively). In addition, members continue to rate the Club’s social and institutional situation positively (6.8 and 6.5 out of 10, respectively). 64% of respondents approve of the Club’s financial situation, and 55% believe it will improve in the future.
Strong endorsement of "More than a club"
Barça continues to be perceived as "More than a club" by 85% of respondents, with the main reasons cited being La Masia, the ownership model, and its identification with Catalonia. Regarding ownership, 88% of those surveyed support maintaining the current model, in which 100% of the club belongs to its members, as endorsed by the current board. Furthermore, 78% of respondents view the club’s use of the Catalan language positively. The main reasons for becoming a member include love for the club (81%) and pride in being a Barça fan (80%). 91% expressed their intention to renew their membership.
Time at Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys
Although 70% of members did not purchase a season ticket for the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, 40% of them attended at least one match there. The overall experience received an average rating of 7.1 out of 10, with 70% of respondents giving it a "very good" or "excellent" score. Highlights include the zone selection system and pricing (6.9 average), and the pre-match registration system, which 51% rated "very good" or higher, with an average score of 5.9.
125th anniversary
Among the most notable initiatives marking the club’s 125th anniversary are the 92% recognition rate of the mascot CAT, as well as the anniversary’s official anthem “L’escut al pit”, which received an average score of 7.9 out of 10. The 125th anniversary Manifesto, titled “We Want the Ball”, was rated "very good" or "excellent" by 90% of respondents.
Gender equality, sustainability, and the Foundation
Barça’s commitment to improving women’s status and promoting gender equality was rated 7.6 out of 10, with the promotion of the club’s female athletes in communications campaigns receiving the highest score of 8.3. Sustainability policies received a rating of 7.5, and 89% of surveyed members are aware of the work of the Barça Foundation.
