There was plenty happening in the build-up to the Clásico against Real Madrid at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. One of the most spectacular moments was the huge mosaic as the players came out onto the pitch as the Barça anthem was sung a capella. Spine-chingling. 

There was further emotion when Pedri paraded his April Liga Player of the Month prize. The Canary Islander is also among the eight players nominated for the Liga Team of the Season. 

Euro celebration

Prior to the match, Europe Day was also celebrated as part of Europe Week 2025. On May 9, people took to the streets of Barcelona, Madrid, and other European cities to celebrate our European Union.
