A second Webby Award for FC Barcelona! The Club's official Mobile app has won the People’s Voice Award, after fans considered it to be the best app in the Entertainment & Sports category, ahead of the four other nominees – the Marvel app, the NFL app, the ESPN app, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games app. It is also the first time a football club app has won a Webby Award.

This is now FC Barcelona's second recognition at these awards, after the official website won two years ago. As such, the fans and the Webby Awards – awards given out each year by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences – have acknowledged the Club's commitment to significantly upgrade the FC Barcelona app.

A pioneering app among football clubs

From April 2024, the Barça app has offered a vertical, unique and highly intuitive experience. On adding Barça Stories and clips, FC Barcelona became the first football club in the world to offer vertical content inside their app.

Available in four languages (Catalan, Spanish, English, and French), blaugrana fans around the world can enjoy fresh content every day and 100% Barça entertainment. Highlights include the first team content on match days, as well as the games, which test users with different quiz formats and timed tests, as well as the Match Day Challenge for each game.

Blaugrana fans can also use the app to buy tickets, purchase merchandising or check the calendar of every professional team, as well as enjoy content from Club partners. Furthermore, registered users can personalise their avatar and adapt their profile as they see fit.

Club website, winner in 2023

FC Barcelona have won a Webby Award before, back in 2023, when the Club's official website won the People’s Voice Award, with fans voting it as the world's best sports website. FC Barcelona beat the other nominees to the award – Inter Milan, ESPN, the 2022 Little League Baseball World Series and the Santa Anita racetrack in California.
