Movistar Inter 0-3 Barça: Through to the quarterfinals

Three blaugrana goals in three second half minutes decided the game in Barça's favour

Quarterfinal bound. FC Barcelona won 0-3 away to Movistar Inter to qualify for the next round of the Copa del Rey. After an even first half, the blaugranes fired in three goals in three minutes in the second to take control of the game.

In the balance

Jesús Velasco's side came out of the blocks well and had the first shot after two minutes, Matheus firing wide from the left, before three minutes later Sergio González skied a chance. Movistar Inter then had their own chances, Fits with the best that hit the post (min.8).

Jesús Herrero in the Movistar Inter goal had some work to do as the blaugranes stepped up the pace before half time, Erick and Sergio González both had clear chances to break the deadlock. 0-0 after 20 minutes.

Goals in quick succession

Barça kept up the pace after the restart, Pito received the ball on the left and slammed a shot against the woodwork after just three minutes. The goal was coming and like the proverbial buses, you wait for one and three come almost at once.

Touré scored the first after a superb bit of play (min. 27). Just forty seconds later Adolfo finished an assist from Coelho (min. 28). And lastly a bit of individual brilliance from Pito saw him score past Jesús Herrero to make it 0-3 (min. 30).

That flurry of goals put the game to bed, taking the blaugranes into the Copa del Rey quarterfinals.
