The available blaugranes train on Al-Hilal's pitch to put the finishing touches to preparations for the semi-final against Osasuna

Training day in Riyadh as Xavi Hernández' squad used the pitch at the Prince Faisal stadium in the run-up to the Super Cup semi-final against Osasuna.


With the seats and running track providing a blue backdrop, the squad donned the new training kit for the first time and took to the pitch for the first training session in Saudi Arabia. The outside of the stadium where Al-Hilal usually play in Riyadh - featuring players such as Neymar, Bono, Koulibaly, Ruben Neves and Milinkovic-Savic - is more of a sand colour to match the surroundings.

The blaugrana party arrived as the sun was setting and left once night had fallen on the Saudi city. In the meantime, they were put through their paces to put the finishing touches to preparations for the Super Cup semi-final against Osasuna to the sound of prayers echoing around Riyadh.

This may be a place to soak in culture and history, but there were also smiles abound during the session, as temperatures hovered around 17 degrees Celsius at the Prince Faisal stadium. Next stop, the KSU Stadium, where FC Barcelona will be looking to write another successful chapter in their Super Cup history.
