Vitor Roque all smiles during his official presentation as a blaugrana

Brazilian forward visits the Ciutat Esportiva just hours after making his debut against Las Palmas

Since arriving just over a week ago, Vitor Roque has been a busy man - normal fare with new signings, but the fact he is joining mid-season simply adds another layer to proceedings. This morning saw his official presentation as a Barça player just hours after he made his debut.

The event took place on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, starting with the customary contract signing by the player, today in the presence of vice-president for the sporting area, Rafa Yuste, given that president Joan Laporta couldn't attend. This was followed by more signatures on the backdrop and a jersey already featuring his name and the number 19, in which hopefully he will go on to score many goals. A photo session with Rafa Yuste and sporting director, Deco, the architect of his signing, captured the moment for posterity.

Rafa Yuste on Vitor Roque

Still to wear the first team jersey competitively - the team wore the third kit for his debut against Las Palmas - Rafa Yuste gave him a warm welcome, stating that "in addition to his quality and magic, he is always all smiles", also highlighting his "positive attitude and his family. He is a very mature player."

A dream come true

The vice-president also praised the player's desire to be involved, stating that "he wanted to be part of an event for Penyas yesterday" and that he was in the thick of the celebrations for Gündoğan's winning goal yesterday, which shows "this team are a family". Vitor Roque stated that his debut "fulfilled a dream I had since I was a boy", and he went on to say that his teammates' welcome has been "very nice. Everything is going great and I am relaxed", before receiving his member's card and joining the big blaugrana family.

He then made a quick dash to the dressing room to put on the full first team kit, returning to the pitch to show his kick-up skills, before a photo session to record the day. His family and closest friends didn't want to miss out on the moment with Tigrinho, joining the player on the pitch for photos too. Beaming throughout the event, he then left to get ready for the training session on the same pitch later on today.
