Barça 2-1 Córdoba: Top at the half way point

Barça top of the table in the league at the turn around after a second half comeback against Córdoba

A deserved victory for the blaugranes against Córdoba but Jesús Velasco's team had to work hard for the points and came from behind to take the win. The visitors to the Palau Blaugrana went ahead in just the second minute of the contest but two goals from Pito saved the day for Barça and leaves them top of the LNFS at the half way point in the league campaign.

Early strike from the visitors

The Andalusians surprised the blaugranes at the start of the game, Antoniazzi shrugging off two Barça defenders to set up his team mate Josema to make it 1-0 in just the second minute of the game.

With Córdoba looking comfortable in front, Barça coach Jesús Velasco turned to youth on the bench with Touré and Kokora Harada coming on. The Japanese forward was making his debut for the first team and his presence seemed to lift the home side although they were unable to find an equaliser before half time.

Equaliser and then victory

After the break, the blaugranes finally levelled things up in the 24th minute when Dyego unselfishly set up Pito to make 1-1, much to the delight of the watching João Cancelo in the stands, the Barça defender being a good friend of futsal blaugrana Erick.

Just two minutes later Córdoba were a man down when Antoniazzi was shown a second yellow with coach Josan González also dismissed after an altercation with Barça's Erick. Córdoba were reeling and Pito picked up a pass from Antonio with three minutes left to added his second and secure an important win for the blaugranes.
