Industrias Santa Coloma 3-4 Barça: Blaugranes leave it late

Jesús Velasco's team take the win in the Catalan derby thanks to braces from Pito and Adolfo, the winning goals coming just seconds from the end

Barça took the Catalan futsal derby win on Friday night in the final seconds of a pulsating encounter. Two late goals from Adolo turned the game on its head against Santa Coloma, turning defeat into victory for Jesús Velasco's team. Two goals from Pito kept Barça in the game earlier in the contest, one in which Matheus made his comeback from injury and Aniol Vendrell made his debut.

Pito is the man

Barça started well and Pito struck the post in the opening minutes. Nevertheless, it was Industrias Santa Coloma who took the lead early on, Povill taking advantage of hesitation in the blaugrana defence. The visitors struck back quickly with Pito levelling things up on 11 minutes; Barça were behind for just two minutes.

Just before half time Pito added second after good work by Touré to give Barça a 2-1 lead at the break.

Adolfo steps up

Santa Coloma responded in the second half. First Nil hit the post and Khalid headed home the rebound to make it 2-2 on 24 minutes. Then, the home side took the lead with Povill scoring again to make it 3-2 with 13 minutes left. Dyego, Adolfo and Pito had chances to equalise but it appeared the home side were on course for the win.

Nevertheless, a brilliant goal from Adolfo in the final minute levelled the scores and with just 2.2 seconds remaining on the clock, the same player grabbed the winner with the home side disorganised at the back.
