FC Barcelona Champions League fixtures confirmed

We now know exactly when the Champions League campaign this season will begin for FC Barcelona: Tuesday 19 September at 9pm CEST at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys the blaugranes will face Belgian side Royal Antwerp in group H which also contains FC Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk. 

The draw for the group stage of the Champions League took place on Thursday in Monaco but it was not until Saturday that UEFA published the fixtures for the initial phase of the competition. 

First Champions League game at the Estadi Olímpic 

The blaugranes will make their debut in the competition at home against Royal Antwerp and it will be the first ever Champions League fixture at the stadium. The European date comes following a league game against Betis the previous, also at the Estadi Olímpic.
