PAS Alcoi 3-4 Barça: Into the semi-finals

The culers come out on top with a goals in the last minutes to make it through to the last four

Next stop the semi-finals for the Barça roller hockey side beat PAS Alcoi 4-3 in the quarter finals of the OK League play offs. The blaugranes needed a late winner overcome the side from Alicante. The reward for Edu Castro's side is a tie against Noia Freixent with the first game on Friday at 8.15pm CEST at the Palau where they will also play the second on Sunday 28 March at 12.30pm CEST. 

Physical first half 

The game was an intense one right from the off. After an 11-1 win in the first game, Barça were made to work hard away from home. Bargalló gave the blaugranes the lead early on but within minutes Alcoi were level thanks to Gonzalo Pérez's goal. 

Alabart restored Barça's lead on 15 minutes after good work from Bargalló and that's how it stayed until half time. 

Emotion until the end 

Barça seemed in control when Rodrigues made it 3-1 but Gonzalo Pérez against brought the home side back into the contest. With a goal from Alabart at six minutes to go the game seemed over but Formatje made it 4-3 to make it a final nervous few minutes for the blaugranes. Edu Castro's team held on to book their place in the semi-finals.
