Ousmane Dembélé continues recovery programme

Frenchman working hard to get back to action following his injury of January 28

Ousmane Dembélé has not played competitive football since January 28 in the derby with Girona at Montilivi. He was replaced by Pedri after getting injured in the early minutes of that game, and has not been seen in action since.

Recovery process

The Canary Islander ended up scoring the only goal of that game, but two months later, Dembélé is still having trouble with his left thigh. Having missed 11 games, he is battling hard to get fit again, but without taking the risk of pushing things faster than needs be, combining work in the gym and on the pitch at the Ciutat Esporiva.

First injury under Xavi

Until getting injured, Dembélé had played 28 competitive games this season, and they were among his best yet for the club, with a return of eight goals and seven assists.

He also played in all seven of France's games at the World Cup, including the final that they lost to Argentina.
