The Palau Blaugrana has a new look after the work begun in March to coincide with its 50th anniversary

The work has centred of modernising the catering facilities, the creation of a new VIP room, two BLM sale points, the improvement of the lighting and fixed advertising screens at each end

The Palau Blaugrana is ready after the work carried out to bring the venue up to speed as part of the initiatives for its 50th anniversary. The work has focused on the improvement to the interior of the pavillion for visitors, members and fans.

The catering facilities have been improved, a new VIP room has been created with views of the court as well as the improvement of some of the most visible parts of the Palau. Another new element is the creation of two sales points for BLM (Barça Licencing and Merchandising) products, on the lateral stand and another in the main stand.

The facility looks as a good as new on the inside with some of the most used space being given a blaugrana brush up to allow the fans to feel even more of the magic of the Palau.

The catering areas have been updated, most notably the bar in the lateral stand, at the ice ring and in the A and B main stands on the first floor, at each end and the visiting fans' section. The recycling points have been improved all over the facility to promote use and raise awareness of the issue and its importance to visitors.

Last season the scoreboard was updated, the lighting was replaced as was the PA system to improve the all round experience for visitors.

100% Barça atmosphere

The Barça colours are visible on all the walls that surround the stands where message such as 'Visca Barça', 'Culer' and 'Blaugrana' can be seen. As regards to the lighting at the Palau, it is now more efficient thanks to the LED lamps installed on the court and the LED screens for advertising in the second tier which can now be seen during games. In the coming weeks the ambient light in the dome will be strengthened.
