Spotify Camp Nou has broken yet another record. Thursday night's game with Manchester United attracted an attendance of 90,225, and not only were all those fans treated to a veritable footballing feast, but they also helped rewrite the record books. The Europa League has never witnessed such a huge crowd before, the previous record being the 80,465 who saw Tottenham play Gent in 2017. Just the latest of many all-time highs recorded in the stadium.

Two UCL records in 1994/95

The ground was packed by no fewer than 115,500 people for a Champions League quarter final against Paris St Germain in 1994/95, the biggest crowd ever for that competition in its revamped format.

A few months before that, the 114,273 crowd that watched the game with Manchester United remains to this day the largest crowd to watch a group stage game.

Women's records too

This season, the Barça women also set a new record. The 46,967 people that enjoyed the UWCL game with Bayern Munich in November set a new record for a group stage fixture in that competition.

It totally blitzed the previous top figure of 18,342 for the PSG v Real Madrid game in 2021/22.

World record against Wolfsburg

The season before, the Barça women set a new record for any kind of women's football match, at club or international level. Spotify Camp Nou brought 90,185 people together for the game with Real Madrid, and the semi-final with Wolfsburg just a few weeks later bettered that with a historic 91,553 packing the biggest stadium in Europe.
