Club Secretary and Director responsible for basketball, Josep Cubells, and former player, Carles Puyol, were in Florence on Wednesday to attend the official launch of the FC Barcelona designs by Herno, the Italian fashion house providing the outfits worn by both the men's and women's football teams and the basketball team from this season onwards.

The presentation was part of Pitti Immagine Uomo, the international platform for men's clothing held in the Italian city. The Club's two representatives were joined by Herno's president, Claudio Marenzi, during a visit to the Italian company's stand where the official FC Barcelona outfits were on display.

The official presentation comes one day after the men's football first team and basketball team first wore the outfits on their respective international trips to Saudi Arabia to play the Spanish Super Cup and Lyon in France for a EuroLeague match. The women's football team are scheduled to wear the new official design for the first time next week when they travel to Merida to play the Spanish Super Cup.

FC Barcelona and Herno signed a partnership agreement last November, whereby the Italian fashion house became the official Formal Wear partner from this season up to the 2024/25 season. The framework of the agreement involves both the men's and women's football first teams and the basketball team wearing the fashion house's outfits when travelling to European competitions, as well as for the final of any competitions in which they are involved.

The agreement also represents the first time in the Club's history that the three teams have the same Formal Wear partner.
