Barça Atlètic 1–2 CD Numancia: Winning spell interrupted

Two early goals spell defeat at the Estadi Johan Cruyff

The reserves have lost at home for the second time this season, this time against Numància (1-2) with two goals in the first ten minutes giving the blaugrana youngsters a mountain to climb. And despite a noble attempt to do so, the efforts were ultimately in vain.

Numància took the lead through a Ruben Mesa penalty, and while Barça were trying to regroup, Bonaldo stunned them with a second after pouncing on a loose ball in midfield.

Barça Atlètic's response became particularly intense in the latter stages of the second half, with Víctor Barberà missing a great chance to get one back before he finally found the net with five minutes to go. Barça then surged forward in search of an equaliser, but the visitors held their ground and got away with the three three points.

That brings the winning spree to an end and leaves the team with 18 points from the first 13 games. Next up is Intercity Sant Joan on Saturday 3 December at 6pm CET.
