Kiel 30-30 Barça: Frenetic draw in Europe

A poor 5-0 partial score almost cost Barça the game, with a draw saved by two last gasp goals in what was a wonderful game

A very tight draw in Germany. Barça scored with only nine seconds left to draw with Kiel (30-30) in this matchday seven game in Europe. The draw keeps them top and unbeaten in the Champions League. A poor 5-0 partial score almost cost Barça the game, with a draw saved by two last gasp goals.

Barça dominate initially

The Catalans were ahead throughout the first half, and despite the home side's best efforts, N'Guessan and Aleix Gómez stepped up in attack, both ending up top scoring in the half. With nine saves, Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas was also proving vital, also scoring a goal from one end to the other at the end of the half for the Catalans to go in 14-18 up.

Home side react

Each side scored goals after the break, and Barça even took a five goal lead (17-22), but the German side didn't give up and doggedly reduced the deficit. A 5-0 partial score put Kiel ahead for the first time in the game (30-28) with just two minutes left. Barça weren't finished either though, Janc and then Fabregas - scoring with only nine seconds left - rescued a point for the Catalans to remain unbeaten. 30-30 the final score and Barça remain Champions League Group B leaders.
