Barça Women honoured at the 2022 Golsmedia awards ceremony

Awards for the Barça Women's team, and players Alexia Putellas and Sandra Paños, at the event on 7 November

The second and 2022 edition of the Golsmedia awards ceremony on 7 November saw the Barça Women's first team win Best Women's Club, Alexia Putellas win Best Player of the Liga Iberdrola, and Sandra Paños win Best Goalkeeper for the 2021/22 season.

FC Barcelona Institutional area vice president, Elena Fort, and the Director responsible for women’s football, Xavier Puig, were at the event held at the Ciudad de Fútbol de Las Rozas, organised in collaboration with the RFEF.  

This edition of the awards also saw wins for Pablo Torre, as best player in the Primera RFEF GºI, Ferran Jutglà, as best player in the Primera RFEF GºII, and Nil Ruz as best goalkeeper in the Junior Honour Division GºIII. 

The event was also attended by familiar names in the world of football, such as former Barça players David Villa and Pepe Reina, as well as Joan Capdevila and Álvaro Arbeloa, who were part of the discussion 'De la tierra al Mundial', which looked back at their beginnings in the sport and their World Cup win in 2010.
