Osasuna Promesas 0-1 Barça Atlètic: Three much needed points

Rafa Márquez's team pick up an important victory thanks to Juanda's first half goal in Pamplona

Barça B had to work hard for their victory to put an end to their recent run of negative results with Juanda's first goal giving them an important win over Osasuna Promeses in Pamplona.

Goalkeeper Arnau Tenas made several vital saves in a game in which the blaugranes were reduced to 10 men in the second half following a red card for Álvaro Sanz.

Just the one goal in it

Barça Atlètic showed great mental strength in a game that was always going to be tough. Nevertheless, Rafa Márquez's team weathered an early storm from Osasuna and then took the lead in the 26th minute through Juanda's effort.

The blaugranes held on to their lead until half time thanks to several excellent saves from Arnau Tenas. In the second half Osasuna continued to press and Barça were up against it, especially after the dismissal just before the hour of Álvaro Sanz for a second bookable offence.

Fortunately for Barça, keeper Tenas remained in fine form making a crucial stop from Xabi Huarte late on to help Barça Atlètic secure a deserved victory and three vital points.
