UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE: FC Barcelona 2-0 Inter Milan

Mathematical qualification for the knockout stages is assured following Wednesday's victory at the Estadi Johan Cruyff

A 2-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon assures FC Barcelona of a place among the teams in the knockout stages of the UEFA Youth League. Víctor Barberà scored in the first half and Unai Hernández made sure of the three points towards the end of the game

Barberà's goal came when the game was just eight minutes old, a fabulous first-touch finish off a fine Ángel Alarcón assist.

Inter's best chance was saved by Astralaga just minutes later, thus denying Esposito the chance to get his side back level, and the Italians continued to push fruitlessly for much of the first half.

Barça defended their lead solidly in the stop-start second half that was plagued with interruptions and fouls. Víctor Barberà had come closest to doubling Barça's lead and his own personal tally before it was finally down to Unai Hernández to secure the victory in injury time.
