First beats second to cap a brilliant week at the Palau Blaugrana

FC Barcelona have beaten second placed Bidasoa Irún in the Liga Asobal to consolidate their position at the top of the table. Following the Champions League win against RK Celje Pivovarna, it was a great way to end another excellent week.

Aleix Gómez was well plugged in the early attacks, and Thiagus Petrus, also shone as the Catalans stormed to 21-11 to leave the game as good as decided with the whole second half still to play

With Artur Parera scoring five goals, Barça continued to dominate, and although the Basques managed to reduce the gap towards the end, the win was never in any kind of doubt.
