New York in blaugrana

The Red Bull Arena takes on the Barça colours on the last day of the US tour

The FC Barcelona tour of the US came to an end in the best possible way with a third win in four matches in a New York that has been bathed in blaugrana over the last three days.

The Big Apple did not disappoint as it welcomed the squad to the city for the first time since 2017.

Institutional and social activity

During the days in New York, the Club has announced an agreement with UNHCR/Acnur, turned Times Square blaugrana and sold the first ever NFT in the Club's history at Sotheby's. The Barça Supporters' Club has also been at the forefront of the action.

To round things off, Barça played their first ever game at the Red Bull Arena after having trained in the stadium back in 2017.

The 'home' team

The NY Red Bulls stadium seemed like Barça's home ground with blaugrana shirts everywhere. The more than 25,000 crowd cheered Xavi's starting XI as they were announced and turned the game into something approaching a home fixture.

Henry, VIP spectator

In the run up to kick off, Thierry Henry was the star of the show. The Frenchman, now retired, took part in the honorary kick off after having played for both teams during his illustrious career as did other former Barça stars, Rafa Márquez, current Barça Atlètic coach and Albert Celades.

Thierry Henry followed the game alongside another VIP guest, Dwayne Johnson, better known as 'The Rock' star of films such as 'The Fast and the Furious' and 'Jumanji.'
