The signing of Ousmane Dembélé generated a real buzz among Barça fans after several high quality seasons playing for Borussia Dortumd and Stade Rennes. This was borne out by 17,000 people in the Spotify Camp Nou stands to witness his official presentation.

Thrilling home debut

Dembélé's first game for Barça was a derby in the Spotify Camp Nou. Expectations were high, but the Frenchman was up to the challenge. Wearing the number 11 jersey at the time, he completed a good stint on the right flank, culminated by a great assist for Luis Suárez.

 

The first landmark moment in Europe against Chelsea

After being hampered by a long injury throughout his first season, it was in March 2018 when Ousmane Dembélé received a great pass from Leo Messi to score a great goal and ensure qualification from the quaterfinal.

Delighting Barça fans with a brace

After playing several high quality games after his important goal against Chelsea, Dembélé got everyone off their seats in the Spotify Camp Nou with two goals against Villarreal. While the first came after a great team move for a tap in, the young Frenchman created the second himself, finishing a speedy run from midfield with an accurate chip out of the keeper's reach.

His first titles with Barça

During his first season with the Club, with coach Ernesto Valverde in charge, Ousmane Dembélé completed a domestic double in the 2017/18 season, winning the Copa del Rey and the LaLiga title.

Decisive role in the 2018/19 Spanish Super Cup

Ousamane Dembélé again showed he is a big game player at the start of the 2018/19 season. The winger broke the deadlock with a right-footed goal from outside the area, which proved enough for Ernesto Valverde's squad to win their first title of the season.

Two goals on the road to the Champions League round of 16

The good start to the 2018/19 season by Ousmane Dembélé was further enhanced by two almost perfect Champions League performances. Dembélé scored two goals - one against PSV Eindhoven and one against Tottenham Hotspur - that many fans will remember for a long time.

Setting the ball rolling towards another Copa del Rey final

On 3 March 2021, Barça classified for another Copa del Rey final - that they would go on to win - thanks to a classic comeback in Spotify Camp Nou (3-0). Dembélé scored a great goal to set the ball rolling, before Gerard Piqué scored in the 94th minute to force extra-time, when Braithwaite completed the win and classification for the 2020/21 season final.

 

Two assists in a Clásico that will go down in history

Ousmane Dembélé was one of the protagonists of the recent FC Barcelona goal fest at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium (0-4). The French winger provided two assists -  one for Aubameyang and one for Ronald Araujo - as part of a wonderful way to the start the game.

Spellbinding Dembélé skill 

Now with Xavi Hernández as coach and with the season drawing to an end, Dembélé again showed his skills at Spotify Camp Nou by scoring a powerful left foot shot into the top right hand corner of the goal.
