Five stats for Getafe v FC Barcelona

We take a look at some of the facts and figures relating to Sunday's game in the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez

We are in the home stretch of the 2021/22 league campaign and Barça face their final away game of the season in the shape of a trip to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez to take on Getafe. The team's objective is clear: points to secure second place in the table and a place in next season's Spanish Super Cup.

Let's take a look at some of the facts and figures surrounding the game that kicks off at 7.30pm CEST on Sunday:

Happy memories

Despite the fact that Barça lost 1-0 last season at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, Getafe's stadium is normally a happy hunting ground for the blaugranes as they won on four of their last five visits.

Defensive opponents...

Since the arrival of Quique Sánchez Flores as coach, Getafe have beefed up their defensive strategy. In the 36 games so far they have just conceded 38 goals, only two more than Xavi Hernández's team.

Enes Ünal in great form

Although Getafe have relied on their defence this season, they also boast one of La Liga's top strikers. Turkish centre forward Enes Ünal has 15 goals so far this campaign in La Liga, placing him fourth in the race to be pichichi

A coach who knows Barça well

Back in October of last year after a poor start to the campaign, Getafe sacked coach Míchel and brought in Quique Sánchez Flores for his third spell as coach at the club. The former Atlético Madrid, Valencia and Espanyol coach has faced Barça on 15 occasions, losing eight, drawing three and winning four.

Aubameyang on 299

After scoring twice against Celta on Tuesday, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has now scored 299 goals in his club career in France, Germany, England and now Spain. Against Getafe the Gabon international will have the chance to add to his 13 goals this season for Barça and reach the magic 300 figure.
