Barça 2–1 ElPozo Murcia: Three golden points

A show of character as the futsal team get the better of a gripping finale

Games with ElPozo Murcia are also interesting affairs and this repeat of the Spanish Cup Final was no exception. Two second half goals from Coelho and Adolfo earned three hugely important points for Jesús Velasco’s side in a dominant display from start to finish.

It was also refreshing to see B team players Ortiz, Carrasco and Nicolás, the latter making his debut, all performing brilliantly not only at senior level but in game of such utmost importance.

The first half was relentless, with Barça getting most of the chances but neither side finding the net. It wasn’t until the last ten minutes that goals finally started to come. Brazilian Coelho culminated a counter attack to get the Catalans into a deserved lead, but Felipe Valerio produced an equaliser with just two minutes to go.

It looked like Barça were going to be denied what should have been a clear victory, but immediately after conceding, Adolfo banged in another and Barça could celebrate three crucial points.
