On a roll in La Liga!

FC Barcelona have not lost for nine games, and Xavi is yet to lose a league fixture on the road since he took over in November

FC Barcelona are in fine form in La Liga. The 4-1 win in Valencia was not just about points but also about the recovery of their game. After some below par performances earlier in the campaign, things are really starting to come together, and the team has further consolidated its position in the top four in the table, which earns the right to play in the Champions League next season.

With five wins and four draws, Barça have now gone nine games without a single defeat.

Goals galore

The result against Valencia was the first win by more than two goals way from home this season. After scoring nine goals in their previous ten games, Barça have now scored ten in just three. That’s a remarkable upturn in affairs.

With a hat-trick on Sunday, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has added his name to an impressive list of 21 different Barça goalscorers this term.

Joy on the road

Before Xavi arrived on November 6, Barça were particularly struggling on the road. All that has changed since the new coach took command.

In La Liga, there have been four away wins (Valencia, Alavés, Mallorca and Villarreal), four draws (Espanyol, Granada, Sevilla and Osasuna) and not a single defeat.
