Saturday workout for the FC Barcelona squad with the game with Espanyol just a day away
The derby is just one day away and the Barça squad trained for the game on Saturday morning at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper. The short trip up the road to the RCDE Stadium, which is actually nearer to the Barça training ground than the Camp Nou, kicks off on Sunday at 9.00pm CET.
Following a session on a chilly day in Barcelona, Xavi Hernández made his way to the pressroom to speak to the media about tomorrow’s game.
The plan for Sunday is for the players to have a warm-up session at 12.00pm CET in the Ciutat Esportiva and then go to Hotel NH Constanza to get some rest before being transferred by coach to the stadium. The coach will be naming his squad for the game following the morning workout.
