Barça take their third win of the week after beating local rivals from Badalona in the Palau

Catalan derby in the Palau and Barça came out on top thanks to another great performance from Saras Jasikevicius' team in the Palau. 

Nico Laporvittola picked up 21 points and a score of 24 in the game in which Brandon Davies also recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. 

Exchanging blows 

In the opening minutes Nikola Mirotic dominated with the Barça forward scoring three consecutive three pointers in the Palau to give the blaugranes an early lead. Saras' side held on to that advantage and at the end of the first quarter they were 24-13 up against their local rivals. 

In the second quarter Ante Tomic's rebounding helped Barça stay in front but a fightback from 'la Penya' saw the lead reduced to 40-35 at half time. 

Three pointers decide 

After the break the blaugranes came out shooting and led by a stellar Brandon Davies and they took a 10 point lead at 66-56. In fact, Barça's prowess from the three point line was the deciding factor in the game with six from eight helping them to a 15 point winning margin against Joventut.

Barça's next game is in the Euroleague on Tuesday at home against Bayern Munich.
