Barça 6-2 Reus Deportiu Virginias: Another Clásico win to remain unbeaten
Barça remain unbeaten in the Clásico after an individual and collective effort to beat Reus Deportiu Virginias 6-2 and make it 16 out of 16 wins in the league. Pau Bargalló (2), Ignacio Alabart (2), Nil Roca and Sergi Panadero scored to decide an eventful game, with Sergio Fernández also featuring.
From saves to goals
The Clásico featured saves by both Sergio Fernández and Martí Zapater, with both keepers dominating a low key start. The Palau public provided encouragement and Barça picked up the pace. Pau Bargalló scored to ignite proceedings before moments of individual brilliance by Nil Roca and Ignacio Alabart made it 3-0 to Barça.
Topsy turvy second half
Reus benefited from the pace in the second half, even making it 3-2 at one point. More intense and even this half, the keepers again made saves to keep the score down, but Pau Bargalló and Ignacio Alabart restored the two goal advantage close to the buzzer. There was still time for Sergi Panadero to add another to make the final score 6-2.
So, a show of character and teamwork in the Clásico, now the 64th win out of 78 played in the Palau for Barça, to add to their unbeaten run in the league. Long may it continue!
