WOMEN: FC Barcelona 4-0 Betis: Oshoala hat-trick in spectacular win

Super Cup champions get another victory in the Liga Iberdrola, with the Nigerian delivering brilliance to score three in the first half

The Barça women have continued their relentless march through the Liga Iberdrola by putting four goals past Real Betis in a game preceded by an emotional tribute to Kety Pulido, who captained the team to its first Copa de la Reina in 1994 and passed away this week.

The team also paraded the Spanish Super Cup trophy won in Madrid last week.

Barça powered into the action. Asisat Oshoala was in exceptional form and kicked off her terrific performance by scoring the opening goal off a Graham Hansen cross.

In an almost identical move, this time it was Lieke Martens supplying the Nigerian to make it 2-0.

And just before half time, an inspired bit of football on the edge of the area saw Oshoala brilliantly round her defender to complete her first half hat trick.

The Catalans continued to smother their opposition in the second half, and a Dutch-Swedish combination saw Martens set up substitute Rolfö for goal number four.

Barça remain runaway leaders in the championship with 18 wins 18 games and a simply stunning goal difference of 102-4.
