Dembélé makes it 16 different goalscorers for Barça this season

The French winger scored his first goal of the season, also the Club's first in the Copa del Rey, in a repeat of last season

A great game for Ousmane Dembélé at Estadio Municipal de Linarejos. The French winger came on at half-time with Barça losing  1-0, playing a key role in the comeback for Barça to win 1-2 and classify for the next round of the Copa del Rey.

Barça's number 7 scored the equaliser after some individual brilliance and was one of the standout forwards, creating several chances, with the home side's defence struggling to deal with his ball-carrying and dribbling.

Dembélé had seven attempts (two on target) in only 45 minutes against Linares, a record for a Barça player in one match this season across all competitions and for a substitute from a LaLiga team during a competitive match this season. He has also scored six goals from outside the area as a Barça player across all competitions, three of which came in the Copa del Rey - two with the right foot and one with the left - more than any other player in the competition since last season.

16th goalscorer for FC Barcelona

Dembélé's goal against Linares Deportivo was his first of the season, having played nine games - five in LaLiga, three in the Champions League and one in the Copa del Rey - providing two assists.

The goal also means Dembélé becomes Barça's sixteenth different goalscorer this season, joining Memphis (8), Ansu Fati (4), Coutinho, Nico, Luuk de Jong, Araujo, Jutglà, Piqué, Braithwaite and Sergi Roberto (2) and Gavi, Abde, Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, Sergio Agüero and Dembélé (1).

These 16 different goalscorers across all competitions mean Barça equal Mallorca as the LaLiga team with most different goalscorers this season, followed by Betis, Real Madrid, Valencia and Villarreal, all with 15. Manchester City lead the way across the major European leagues with 18 different goalscorers.

First goal in the Copa del Rey for the second consecutive year

The number 7's goal was Barça first in the game and this season's Copa del Rey, the second consecutive year in which Dembélé scored Barça's first cup goal, having scored the first goal in the round of 32 match at Cornellà last season.

The most recent first goalscorers in the Copa del Rey are Dembélé (2020/21 and 2021/22), Griezmann (2019/20), Lenglet (2018/19), Paco Alcácer (2017/18), Aleñá (2016/17), Dani Alves (2015/16), Rakitic (2014/15), Pedro (2013/14) and Villa (2012/13).
