Real Madrid 1–3 Barça: Blaugranes take the Clásico win

The Barça women's team take the win in the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium to retain their 100% record this season

Barça took victory in the Alfredo di Stefano stadium against Real Madrid in the 'Clásico' with a 3-1 win that maintains their 100% record so far this season.

The blaugranes took the lead after just eight minutes when Lieke Martens headed home for the opening goal of the game. Just 10 minutes later Paredes added a second, also a header, as Jonatan Giráldez's team took control of the game.

Dutch striker Martens helped herself to another on 23 minutes, Barça blowing away their opponents in the early part of the game. Real Madrid keeper Misa made a couple of excellent saves from Graham and Torrejón which meant Barça going in at half time 3-0 up.

Reaction from the home side

In the second half the home side tried to get themselves back into the game and Asllani pulled one back on 52 minutes. Nevertheless, Barça failed to get rattled and Crnogorcevic was unlucky to have a fourth ruled out.

The blaugranes were able to keep Real Madrid at arm's length for the rest of the game to record their 13th win in a row in the league and maintain their advantage at the top of the table.
