Alexia and Pedri to present the Ballon D'Or and Kopa Trophy to the Camp Nou before Barça v Betis

The world's best female player will also present her award to the fans at Estadi Johan Cruyff prior to the game against Athletic Club at noon CET on Saturday

FC Barcelona was the star performer at the awards ceremony in Paris for last season's best players in Teatre Châtelet on Monday. Among the trophies awarded by France Football, Alexia Putellas won the women's Ballon D'Or for best player in 2021, Leo Messi won his seventh men's Ballon D'Or, while Pedri won the Kopa Trophy for best player aged under 21 years old.

To celebrate these awards, both Alexia and Pedri will present them to FC Barcelona fans prior to the Barça v Betis game in the Camp Nou (4:15pm CET).

There are two parts to the presentation. After the team has warmed up, Pedri will walk onto the Camp Nou pitch to present the Kopa Trophy to the Barça fans. Ex-FC Barcelona player, Hristo Stoichkov, Ballon D'Or winner in 1994, will present the award first to the Canary Islands player as part of the symbolic act.

Then the Bulgarian will present the Ballon D'Or to Alexia, who will also present her award to all the fans in the stadium. The women's team captain will also be joined by her teammates to celebrate the midfielder's success, and the success of Barça's women's team as a whole.

This will be the second time that Alexia has presented an individual award at Camp Nou, after the 'Best European Player of the Year' and 'Champions League 2020/21 Best Midfielder' awards from UEFA at the end of August.

Earlier the same day at noon CET, Alexia will also present her Ballon D'Or to the fans in Estadi Johan Cruyff prior to the Barça v Athletic Club Liga game.
