Espai Barça Funding Referendum exhibition opens to the public

Located in a 400 square metre marquee on the forecourt of Camp Nou, the exhibition presents information about the project's funding, latest developments, and the electronic voting procedure

Saturday November 27 saw the Espai Barça Funding Referendum exhibition open to the public. A 400 square metre marquee located on the forecourt of Camp Nou provides the venue for all the information regarding the binding consultation called by the Board of Directors on Friday 26, with electronic voting taking place on Sunday, December 19.

The exhibition is part of the Club's information campaign to ensure all members with voting rights are suitably informed about how the new Espai Barça project will be funded, the latest developments, and how the electronic voting works. The exhibition also features a model of the first version of the future Camp Nou from 2016.

There is also a video about Espai Barça and simulations of the stadium's interior and stands. Information sessions and guided visits are planned for members, senators, and members of the community of Supporters' Clubs. Members will be able to sign up in advance via a form available through the Referendum site in the Club's website.

The exhibition will be open to the public from 10am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday, and 10am to 3pm on Sundays through to December 19. On matchdays, such as Saturday December 4 when Barça play Betis in La Liga (4.15pm), the exhibition will close four hours prior to kickoff time, reopening again an hour and a half before the match once access to the enclosure has been opened to the public.

A new site in the Club website

Today also marks the opening of a new site in the Club website, containing all the information about the electronic voting, registration for guided visits of the exhibition, the call for consultation and the calendar, answers to FAQs and about updating personal details. The Social Area has also added the ‘T’escoltem’ channel through which members can directly address the Club via email regarding any queries about the binding consultation on Espai Barça's funding. A Club representative will respond to every request in a timely manner.

As part of the information campaign, the Club will also send regular information to members via the regular electronic channels, the BOC (the Club's official newsletter) and Infosocis, which they receive via email. A special edition of the Barça Magazine will also be distributed via a special BOC, a three-page leaflet and an information dossier that will be given out at the exhibition. Members will also receive text messages as a reminder of the relevant consultation dates.

Furthermore, members can call the Club in case of any queries or clarifications about the process and voting system on 900 1899 00.

The Club has also launched a branding campaign with the aim of encouraging the biggest possible turnout for this vote, with the slogan “If we all vote, we win!” This campaign aims to highlight that this referendum is uniquely 100% electronic, promoting that we are a democratic club in which all members have a say on the club's game-changing decisions, such as the future of the Espai Barça project. It's time to vote - the future is here, culers!

Ensure your personal information is up to date

Please note that members with voting rights will only be able to vote electronically if their personal information in the Club's database is up to date, as it will be needed to verify their identity as a member in order to be able to cast a vote.

As such, prior to December 7, the last day to present the electoral list, members have to check and update their details to avoid any issues when it comes to casting their vote.

The following personal information needs to be up to date in order to participate in the consultation:

  • Number (on the member's card)
  • Personal code/PIN
  • Mobile number
  • Email address
  • Date of birth

There are three ways of checking and changing details as applicable:

  • Online through the Club's website (via the following link using the password and personal code) - recommended
  • In person at the Barcelona Supporters Office (OAB) - Camp Nou access point 15.
  • By calling 900 1899 00.
