This Saturday 23 October, the Palau Blaugrana celebrates its 50th anniversary, and FC Barcelona is honouring the occasion with a private party starting at 10.45am CEST. The events will conclude in the Auditori 1899 with an event that will be screened live from 11.45am CEST on Barça TV and Barça TV+), the first of several events to celebrate the iconic arena.

Guests on Saturday will include President Joan Laporta and various other members of the board, plus relatives of Agustí Montal, the president who opened the venue in 1971, and of the architects Francesc Cavaller and Josep Soteras. The teams themselves will be represented by players and coaches of past and present, some of whose shirts have been retired and now hang in the Palau, as well as institutional representatives, sponsors and members of different club commissions.

A commemorative plaque is to be unveiled in the presidential box, followed by a group photo. The event in the Auditori 1899 will include a number of speeches and a look back at the history of the pavilion.
