Laporta: 'If the Assembly approves the Espai Barça financing we will have a referendum to ratify the decision'

The FC Barcelona president explains that the referendum depends on the decision of the members and representatives at the Assembly on 23 October

“If the Assembly approves the Espai Barça financing we will have a referendum to ratify the decision," said Joan Laporta via his personal Twitter account.

The vote will take place on Saturday 23 October at the FC Barcelona facilities and it will be the continuation of the Assembly that was suspended on Sunday due to the imminent kick off of Barça v Valencia.

The president also called for the fans' support at Camp Nou. "Come to encourage the team, the players need to hear your shouts of encouragement," he said. Such help, he believed, aided the team's comeback against Valencia on Sunday. The results need to keep coming against Dynamo Kyiv: "It's a game that's vital - it's the Champions League and we need to win."

“I am convinced you will be there against Real Madrid," he added. To conclude he once again called for the fans' support at Camp Nou; "The players need you to join them on the way to victory. You all know: if we all get behind them, we will win."
