A win for Barça B but they were made to work hard for their 2-1 victory over Andorra in the Estadi Johan Cruyff. Two first half goals from Aranda and Jutglà gave them the advantage and a solid defensive performance after the break prevented a comeback from the visitors.
Sharp start for Barça
The first half began in tight fashion with clear cut chances hard to come by. However, little by little Barça began to impose themselves on the game and it came as no surprise when they took lead. On 28 minutes Aranda picked the ball up on the edge of the box and launched an unstoppable shot into the top corner.
The advantage was doubled five minutes before half time. Jutglà placed a perfect chip over keeper Ratti to round off a great first half for Sergi Barjuan's team. However, there was still time left for Carlos Martínez to pull one back for Andorra right on the stroke of half time.
In the second half chances came and went for both side. Barça keeper Iñaki Peña made a great save to deny a dangerous Marc Fernández header in what turned out to the final opportunity for Andorra to get something out of the game. Another win for Barça B and with their third victory of the league season complete, they are now just a point off the play off places.
