The Club to appeal against De Jong red and yellow for Sergio Busquets

Barça's Dutch midfielder was shown a second yellow in the 65th minute whilst the blaugrana captain was booked in injury time at the end of the second half

FC Barcelona will appeal against the second yellow card shown to Frenkie de Jong and the caution for Sergio Busquets to the Competition Committee of the Spanish Football Federation following the game between Cádiz and Barça in the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla in La Liga.

According to the referee's report, Frenkie de Jong, who had been booked for the first time just four minutes earlier, was shown a second yellow for "felling an opponent in a reckless challenge for the ball," after an incident with Cádiz player 'Pacha' Espino.

In addition, captain Sergio Busquets was booked in the 96th minute for kicking a second ball that was on the pitch at the time. Referee Carlos del Cerro Grande in his report claims: "Kicking a second ball that was on the field at the time towards an opponent in possession of the ball, hitting the ball against the opponents and thus interfering with play."
