Solidarity and companionship as Barça Legends train for the Clásico

Veterans work out under the Israeli sunshine in preparation for Tuesday's game against Real Madrid

The Barça Legends are in Israel for the Clásico against their counterparts from Real Madrid on Tuesday, and have spent the morning training for the game at the Hamoshava Stadium, Petah Tikva. Under a hot, humid sun they were watched, among others, by a group of autistic children. 

Albert Ferrer got his players doing the essential ‘rondo’ exercise, followed by work on a series of attacking moves and a mini game between the players. They were joined for this latter part by three Israeli amputee players who are preparing for a tournament in September.

The Barça Legends were particularly pleased to be accompanied by around a hundred members of the Penya Àrab Blaugrana, who brought a huge banner with them and not only cheered everything that was happening on the field but also sung a fabulous rendition of the Barça anthem. The players mingled with the fans afterwards, with plenty of posing for photos and signing of autographs.

There is a press conference scheduled for later in the day, before which the players are getting time for a bit of tourism by visiting the ruins of Cesarea
