Álex Abrines staying until 2026

27-year-old Balearic Islander signs new five-year contract

Barça and Álex Abrines have reached an agreement for the Balearic Islander to stay at the club for five further seasons through to 30 June 2026. The small forward has been at the club for five seasons (2012-16 and 2019-21) and has won six titles, including the double winning season that just ended, in which he played 83 games, 62 as a starter.

He averaged 7.8 points (65% in two and 43.5% in threes) and 2.8 rebounds in 19 minutes a game in the Liga Endesa and 6.1 points (42% threes) in 18 minutes in Europe.

400+ games

Abrines has totalled 404 games for the senior team, the sixteenth highest figure in the history of the Barça basketball team, while he is 24th in terms of minutes played. If he continues as he has done until now, by the end of the 2021/22 season he should enter the Top Ten for games played for Barça in the ACB.
