New Barça shirt inspired by the club crest

Strip goes on sale from June 16 only via Barça e-commerce and Barça Stores, and via all other usual channels from June 21

Barça’s new strip makes the maximum use of the club crest. On the front, at chest height, fans will find the St George Cross, representing the patron saint of Barcelona and the Senyera (the striped Catalan flag). Two elements that define the club’s identity and its ties to city and country, but reimagined in this particular instance in the famous blaugrana colours, while the traditional vertical stripes feature below, albeit somewhat stylised to give them a more modern look.

Meanwhile, the Barça crest appears on the left of the chest in its usual colours, with a white Nike logo on the right. On the back, just below the neck, there is a Catalan flag, while the players’ names and numbers, and the UNICEF logo, are printed in white this season.

The shirt is available both in a men’s version with the name of main partner Rakuten, and in a women’s version featuring the name of Stanley, the main partner of the women’s team. The shorts feature a halved blaugrana design, while the socks come in the same colours with horizontal stripes, with the Barça name embroidered in white with the Nike logo underneath.

The new shirt goes on sale at 9.00am CEST on June 16 exclusively via Barça’s e-commerce outlets and at the Barça Stores in Passeig de Gràcia, Barcelona Airport Terminal 1, La Roca Village and the Camp Nou. From June 21, it will also be available via all the other usual channels.

Sustainable technology

FC Barcelona and Nike’s commitment to sustainability has also played an important role in the design of the new strip, which uses a 100% recycled polyester obtained from used bottles to create a very fine thread. This material not only boosts sporting performance but also has a far lesser carbon footprint.

‘More than a Club’, more than a shirt

Given that the shirt is one of the elements that identify the Catalans and that allows fans to wear Barça colours around the world, the Club wanted to frame the launch of the new kit under the umbrella of the new campaign 'MORE THAN', also presented today for next season and which includes the pillars that make Barça a unique entity around the world and that make it 'More than a Club': its own style of play, a multi-sport vocation, its commitment to women's sport, a unique ownership model, La Masia, the social commitment channeled through the Barça Foundation, the commitment to innovation with the Barça Innovation Hub, values and pride in one's own roots.
