10th consecutive Asobal Cup!

With the victory in the final in Santander, Barça adds a 16th title from 31 editions of the competition

Barça have won their 16th Sacyr ASOBAL Cup after beating Liberbank Cantabria Sinfín (33-23) in the tournament's grand final. Since the 2011/12 season, the Catalans have always won this competition, which this year was played at the end of the season for health reasons.

Fifth of the season

With the 2020/21 Asobal Cup win, Barça have achieved five titles already this season. A season that began with the Catalan Super Cup and Spanish Super Cup titles. Xavi Pascual's men also won the Copa del Rey in March and a few weeks later the Sacyr ASOBAL League, which they ended unbeaten.

On an individual level, it is Xavi Pascual's 11th cup, and 60th title as Barça coach. There are also three players who already have 10 Asobal Cup titles in their record: Raúl Entrerríos, Cédric Sorhaindo and Aitor Ariño. The latter, however, wasn't able to participate in Santander due to a knee injury.

At the opposite end of the scale, Blaz Janc, Domen Makuc, Haniel Langaro and Luis Frade now have their first title in the competition.

Now, the last remaining major challenge of the season lies ahead: the EHF Final4 of the Champions League. It's the competition that can round off a perfect season should Barça emerge victorious. At the Lanxess Arena in Cologne, Barça will seek a sixth title of the season and the 10th Champions League in the history of the section.
