Barça continue to make history as before today there were clubs who had appeared in the final of both competitions but never winners of both.

Most European finals

In the Champions League Barça Women have appeared in the final in 2019 and 2021 with the men's team appearing in the fixture in  1961, 1986, 1992, 1994, el 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

Chelsea, Barça's rivals in the final in Gothenburg, along with Eintract Frankfurt, Arsenal and PSG are the other clubs who have reached the final both in the men's and women's competitions. The blaugranes' 10 final appearances, however, top the list with Eintract their nearest rivals on seven.

Nevetheless, thanks to Sunday's win in Sweden, the blaugranes are now the only club who can boast victory in both versions of Europe's top club competition.

From 1992 to 2021

From Ronald Koeman to Carolina Graham Hansen. From Wembley to Gothenburg. 1992 now seems a long way away and that famous day when the Dutchman's goal gave Barça first every chance to get their hands of that famous trophy, the European Cup. Now in 2021 the celebrations continues thanks to a famous win with goals from Alexia, Aitana, Graham Hansen and an own goal from Leupolz.
