Laporta gets his hands on the Clásico shirt

Don't miss the president's reaction when he saw the shirt that the Catalans will wear against Real Madrid on Saturday

Without a doubt, there is a desire for Saturday's Clásico. On April 10, FC Barcelona visit the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium to play against Real Madrid, and they will do so wearing a shirt especially made for this match.

“What a shirt!” was president, Joan Laporta's first reaction to seeing and holding the Clásico shirt in his hands, which he did with a beaming smile.

"Whenever I see Barça colours, it reminds me of the colours of the arteries and veins. The blood runs down our shirts," he said, also describing his feelings when looking at the shirt: "I'm excited to see our colours, our shirt and our crest. The flag looks great; it identifies us as a Catalan football club open to the world."

It will also be a special day for Joan Laporta because it will be exactly 11 years since the last time he experienced a Clásico as president of FC Barcelona. On that day, April 10, 2010, the Catalans beat Los Blancos 0-2 at the Santiago Bernabéu with Pedro and Messi scoring the goals.

Laporta has overseen 14 Clásicos as president of FC Barcelona so far. The 15th will come this Saturday, April 10 (9.00pm CEST) with the players wearing the exclusive kit for the occasion.
